Ranthambore- A Tiger's Retreat Tour

Besides the Ranthambore Reserve you may visit the historic Ranthambore Fort too. With the ruins of the temples, tanks, massive gates and curtain walls the fort is now a protected monument maintained by the Archeological survey of India.
Climate and Best Time
Located in the Thar Desert Ranthambore is prone to the heat and dust of long summers. During the months from April to June, the temperature soars and makes Ranthambore an unpleasant destination. Ranthambore is also avoided during the monsoons in the months of July and August. The winters are the best time to visit Ranthambore. Thus, most of the tourists plan their visit to Ranthambore between the months of October and March.

It is at a distance of eleven kilometers from Ranthambore and links Ranthambore with other major Indian cities like Delhi and Mumbai. Horse driven tongas and jeeps are easily available for transportation to Ranthambore.
